Encampments

Townwide Encampments for North Reading Girl Scouts are conducted at least every other year. Troops have an opportunity to experience camping with the support of older, more experienced troops.

Junior Girl Scouts had a night of pampering and earned the "Looking Your Best" badge at the 2005 Junior Night of Beauty badge workshop.

Junior NYC Trip

Juniors in grades 4 and up visited New York City in October '05 during the Mother/Daughter Girl Scout trip to NYC. It was a blast!

Individual troops participate in service projects of their choice including clean-ups, charity projects, and more.

Troop Adventures

Individual Junior, Cadette and Senior troops have been trying out some High Adventure Fun including: Rock Wall Climing, White Water Rafting, Trapeze Flying, and Ropes Course!

Patriotism

Marching in the Memorial Day Parade to show our Patriotism is an annual Girl Scout event!

*A new tradition of providing transportation for disabled or injured girls in a Patriotically decorated truck began in 2005.

Cookie Top Sellers

Each year, the Top Selling Girl Scout is awarded a certificate and a charm. The 2006 Top Sellers tied at 490 boxes each!

Girl Scout Sunday is celebrated annually at the Girl Scout's church or synagogue of choice.

World Thinking Day

World Thinking day is on February 22nd to honor the birthdays of Lord and Lady Baden-Powell, the founders of world scouting and to remember our sister Girl Scouts all over the world. In 2006, Alycia Downs and Colleen Finnegan organized a World Thinking Day badge workshop.
